“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood is actually grateful for her prison stay. The troubled MTV star revealed in her first interview since being released that she’s in a good place right now, In Touch reported on Dec. 11.
In the interview, Amber reveals that she’s got a new lease on life after prison, and that she’s happy to have a second chance at motherhood.
“Before prison, I never thought about Leah. I was addicted to drugs and didn’t care about anything else,”
Amber Portwood, 23 has admitted to being hooked on Vicodin and Ambien, which is the reason she was sent to jail.
“Prison saved my life — and gave me a second chance at being a mother,” the “Teen Mom” star adds.
Amber is now living clean and sober and has partnered with “Never Too Late,” an upcoming social campaign focused on helping individuals face addiction.
