Amber Portwood was released last year from an Indiana prison after serving only 17 months out of a 5 year sentencing! Amber took her time in the slammer very seriously, and did everything she could to better herself. While in prison, Amber participated in a substance abuse program that earned her “good-time credit” which helped her get out almost 4 years early.
Since her release, Amber has been spotted several times out with Gary Shirley and Leah. For now, Gary insists that they are keeping custody the way it is, with him having full custody. Who knows what the future holds, but for now its great to see Amber being an active role in Leah’s life!
