Hours after the birth, Mackenzie's mom, Angie Douthit, took to social media were she revealed the baby's name and a couple of cute photos of little Jaxie -- the most recent of which features the little one close up.
"Jaxie Taylor is here," Angie wrote on Twitter on Fri., Feb. 7, along with the first family photo of Josh, Mackenzie, and Jaxie.
A short time later, Angie re-tweeted a second photo of the child, all wrapped up in a receiving blanket with a footprint pattern on it.
Last week, Mackenzie was rushed to the hospital after her blood sugar dropped and fans immediately feared that she had gone into early labor. However, at the time, doctors were able to stabilize her.
Still, things with Mackenzie's high-risk pregnancy (the result of her Type 1 Diabetes), were a concern and doctors opted to have her induced on Friday morning for a c-section, three weeks prior to her due Date .
Although delivering early is often risky, things appear to have gone smoothly with Mackenzie's C-section.
As for why Mackenzie needed a c-section in regard to delivering naturally, Angie seemed to hint that it was because of the size of the baby, who weighed in at 8.9 pounds.
When a fan asked Angie why Mackenzie underwent the procedure, Angie explained, "Her babies r big!"
